Fundacion Tejedores de Vida is a small NGO that operates out of its director’s home on a very small budget in Bogota, Colombia. The Foundation works with people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Entire families as well as individuals are beneficiaries of the Foundation. Many of the beneficiaries are poor, LGBT members of the community that are able to find a place of acceptance at the Foundation. The beneficiaries are able to get medical advice, legal help, job training, and many other services that improve their social well-being and health. The foundation also has looms that beneficiaries are trained to use to create textiles that can be sold in markets, to organizations, and hopefully abroad.
The money raised for Fundacion Tejedores de Vida goes directly to programs to support those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
